You don’t need a tennis racket to get tennis elbow. Most cases come from repetitive use — work, tools, lifting, gripping, or workouts that overload the same tissue over and over. At SDCC, we focus on helping damaged tendons actually heal, not just calming pain temporarily.
Tennis elbow is irritation and breakdown of the tendons on the outside of the elbow caused by overuse.
Rather than a single injury, it’s usually:
Repetitive strain
Micro-tearing over time
Scar tissue that never healed correctly
That’s why rest, braces, or injections often fall short.
Common Symptoms We See
This Can Affect
When it sticks around, the tissue is usually stuck in a poor healing cycle. Left unaddressed, elbow pain often spreads into other areas.
Shockwave therapy to stimulate healing and break up scar tissue
Load management and movement guidance
Addressing contributing mechanics when needed
Tennis elbow is irritation of the tendons on the outside of the elbow, often caused by overuse and repetitive strain. It can make gripping, lifting, or even shaking hands painful. We focus on calming inflammation and stimulating real healing — often using shockwave therapy to break up scar tissue and improve blood flow. The goal isn’t just short-term relief. It’s helping the tendon repair so you can use your arm without that constant ache.

Absolutely great experience here. Everybody is incredibly kind and welcoming. They were able to schedule me for an initial consult very quickly and I finally have a diagnosis for something that's been bothering me for over a year. Prior practitioners I've seen for the issue just brushed me off and recommended physical therapy. It was extremely refreshing to be taken seriously and having an answer is such a relief. I would highly recommend this office. They have been so great to work with.
I’ve been seeing Dr. B for about 2 months now, and have only tried the shockwave therapy (for my knees) and general chiropractic adjustments. Honest to God, my knees have never felt better (in conjunction with some at home therapies and working out) and my neck pain/discomfort went from a 7 to a 1. Outstanding work. The office staff is really sweet too.
I absolutely love this Spinal Decompression and Chiropractic Center. I came in with pain almost everywhere, headaches, and 18° scoliosis. By going every week for a few weeks, I was able to completely eliminate my scoliosis and have less headaches and pains. Every worker here has a kind and appreciative attitude no matter how early I am in the morning. (I visit right when they open!) I see Dr. Baugher and I’m pleasantly surprised every visit!
Your visit begins with a quick, free conversation with Dr. B to see if what’s going on qualifies for care in our office. If it does, we move into a thorough exam — orthopedic and neurological testing, range-of-motion checks, and on-site X-rays when needed.
Once everything’s reviewed, Dr. B walks you through what he found in simple, clear language. You’ll understand exactly what’s happening, what can help, and what your personalized treatment plan would look like. Many patients who qualify for care go on to avoid surgery long-term.
Yes. Shockwave therapy is commonly used for stubborn tendon injuries and is especially effective when overuse is the main issue.
Many patients improve within a small series of treatments. We’ll set expectations clearly after your exam.
It can feel intense during treatment, but sessions are brief and most patients tolerate it well.
Usually no. We’ll guide activity modification so healing can happen without shutting life down.
